Good Morning, 6-11-2009, Lizby's recipe for the breaskfast dish served today at the Broker Breakfast:
Decadent French Toast
2 tbsp light corn syrup, 1 cup light brown sugar, 5 tabsp butter, 12 slices of wheat bread (crust removed), 5 eggs,
1&1/2 cup of mulk, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 & 1/2 cups of sliced strawberries.
Combine corn syrup, brown sugar and butter in a saucepan, heat until bubbly. Pour in a 9 x 11 baking pan, place bread on top in 2 layers. In seperate bowl combine the eggs, milk and vanilla. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Spread sour cream and sliced strawberries on top. Serve Hot. YUMMY!
