NABOR MISSION
To be a proactive and progressive professional organization providing quality services of value to the REALTOR® members and communities of
St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington Parishes of Louisiana.
NABOR 2010 MEMBERSHIP
All managing brokers have received dues invoice statements for their agents. We are happy to announce there is no increase in annual local dues. We are still only $99.50. Agents should return their invoice and payment directly to the broker, who will then forward everything on all agents to the NABOR Office. Dues must be in by November 15. Many thanks to all who support the northshore professional association, where they also live, enjoy their families, participate in the community, work, list and sell real estate. NABOR continues to grow stronger every year because of you. Thank you!
SAVE $50 IN A TRANSFER WAIVER
Between now and Christmas, the NABOR Office is waiving the regular $50 Transfer Fee for agents interested in transferring from another board to NABOR. Tell your colleagues.
HUNGRY TO MEET NEW FOLKS?
Attend the upcoming 3rd Annual NORTHSHORE REALTOR CHILI CHALLENGE, being held Saturday, November 7 at the Fairview-Riverside State Park in Madisonville. Between 11:00am and 3:00pm, you can watch over 20 REALTOR teams cook and compete to hold the title for the best REALTOR chili on the northshore. Judging for the best chili by area restaurant chefs and food experts at high noon! Sodas, beer, hot dogs and home baked sweets are also available along with chances to win great door prizes. Bring the family, co-workers and friends!
Portion of proceeds benefit the St. Tammany and Tangipahoa Associations of Retarded Citizens, STARC and TARC.
Tickets only $5. Little peppers under 5 years old admitted free. Tickets available in broker offices parish-wide, at the park gate that Saturday, or call the NABOR Office 985-892-5200.

AFFILIATES
Thank you to all the NABOR Affiliates who renewed their membership. We are enhancing the NABOR website to give greater exposure for all our impressive affiliates. There will be another Affiliate Taping Session soon at the NABOR Office, where Affiliates can come and tape a free promotional commercial about their services. Each Affiliate will then be featured on the online NABOR Blog. Date and details to be announced soon.
NEW AGENT ORIENTATION
There are only 2 new agent orientation classes left this year: Monday, October 19 and Monday, December 7. Classes begin promptly at 9am. Agents should arrive at 8:50am. All paperwork and fees must be submitted the Wednesday before the class. Please only use the latest revised Membership Form posted on the NABOR Web. www.nabors.org
SALES RECOGNITION AWARDS PROGRAM
Next year’s NABOR Awards Program Luncheon will be held on March 18, 2010, at Tchefuencta Country Club in Covington. The Awards Committee is currently revising the criteria and various other points in the program. Call Co-Chairs, Ronda Behrens,

CONTINUING-EDUCATION
NABOR continues to offer all continuing education class FREE to all NABOR members in good standing. Beginning in January 2010, there will be a nominal fee for non-NABOR members. NABOR members can continue to enjoy FREE education classes.
For your convenience, we also strive to offer continuing-ed classes in all areas near our membership: Slidell, Covington and Hammond.

Enjoy next month the National Association of REALTORS Annual Conference & Expo in San Diego, November 12 – 16, 2009. Can’t make it to California this year? Reserve time next November, 2010, when NAR’s annual expo will be back in New Orleans!
